Program
We're here to help you take the first step with confidence.
-
Del Sol Recovery Center provides a structured, supportive program for individuals healing from substance use and trauma. Our model combines evidence-based therapy with holistic and community-based practices to support the whole person — mind, body, and nervous system. Each client is guided through a consistent daily structure designed to build stability, connection, and long-term recovery.
-
Clients follow a consistent daily schedule that includes group therapy, individual sessions, and experiential practices such as meditation, movement, drumming, and art. This structure creates stability and accountability while allowing space for personal growth, reflection, and skill-building. Over time, this routine helps clients rebuild healthy patterns and a sense of direction.
-
Our clinical foundation includes evidence-based practices such as Seeking Safety, which addresses both trauma and substance use in a practical, present-focused way. This approach helps clients develop coping skills, increase emotional regulation, and build a sense of safety without requiring them to relive past trauma before they are ready.
-
In addition to group programming, clients receive individualized support tailored to their needs. This includes one-on-one sessions, guidance from experienced staff, and access to a safe, structured environment designed to support progress at every stage of recovery.
-
Program length is individualized based on each client’s needs, progress, and personal goals. Our team works closely with each individual to determine the appropriate duration of care to support meaningful and lasting recovery.
-
Transportation support is available to help clients access the program consistently and reliably. Our goal is to remove barriers so individuals can fully engage in their recovery process.
-
Clients are provided with daily lunches made with nutritious, organic, and locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. Proper nutrition plays an important role in physical and mental health, supporting energy, mood, and overall recovery
-
Each client receives one-on-one support to address their unique experiences, challenges, and goals. These sessions provide a space for deeper personal work and help reinforce the progress made in group and daily programming.
Therapeutic Approach
Evidence-Based & Trauma-Informed Care
Our clinical foundation includes evidence-based practices such as Seeking Safety, which addresses both trauma and substance use in a practical, present-focused way. This approach helps clients develop coping skills, increase emotional regulation, and build a sense of safety without requiring them to relive past trauma before they are ready.
Holistic Whole-Person Healing
We recognize that recovery involves more than talk-based therapy. Our program integrates practices that engage both the logical and creative parts of the brain, supporting deeper healing and long-term change. By working with the mind, body, and nervous system together, clients are better able to restore balance and resilience.
Brain & Nervous System Healing
We recognize that recovery involves more than talk-based therapy. Our program integrates practices that engage both the logical and creative parts of the brain, supporting deeper healing and long-term change. By working with the mind, body, and nervous system together, clients are better able to restore balance and resilience.
Community-Based Support
Connection is a core part of recovery. Our program fosters a supportive community where clients build trust, develop healthy relationships, and experience a sense of belonging. This shared environment helps reduce isolation and reinforces accountability throughout the recovery process.
Seeking Safety: Evidence-Based & Trauma-Informed Care
Seeking Safety is an evidence-based therapeutic approach designed to help individuals address both trauma and substance use by focusing on creating safety in the present moment. Rather than requiring clients to revisit past experiences before they are ready, it emphasizes practical tools for coping with triggers, regulating emotions, and building healthy patterns in daily life. This approach helps individuals develop a sense of stability, self-awareness, and control as they move forward in recovery.
At Del Sol, Seeking Safety is integrated into a broader, holistic framework that supports the whole person—mind, body, and environment. Through a combination of structured guidance, community support, and compassionate care, clients are empowered to build resilience, strengthen relationships, and establish a foundation for long-term healing. The focus is not just on avoiding harm, but on creating a life rooted in safety, connection, and sustainable recovery.
Holistic Practices for Whole-Person Healing
Our program is designed as an integrated whole, where each element works in concert to support full-body recovery.
Meditation
Recovery is supported by the ability to slow down and become aware of patterns, thoughts, and emotional responses. Through guided practices and structured support, clients develop the tools to observe rather than react. This awareness creates space for more intentional and aligned choices.
Movement
The body keeps the score, holding memory and lived experience within its systems and responses. When given the space, movement, and support to heal, it can begin to release what has been carried and restore a sense of balance and regulation. Through this process, individuals are able to reconnect with themselves in a deeper way, building awareness, resilience, and a greater capacity for healing and wholeness.
Drumming
Drumming plays a central role in this process, helping to regulate brain activity and foster a deep sense of connection within community. Because the first sound we experience in the womb is our mother’s heartbeat, rhythmic drumming can also resonate with the prenatal nervous system, supporting grounding and regulation at a foundational level. This experience does not rely on conversation or cognitive processing—instead, it allows the body to engage directly with rhythm and sound, creating space for natural restoration, balance, and healing.
Art
Through art therapy techniques, individuals are invited to express and process experiences beyond words, engaging the nervous system in a deeply integrative way. This creative process accesses the conscious, subconscious, and superconscious layers of awareness, supporting healing through symbolic expression and insight. By working in two- and three-dimensional forms, as well as four-dimensional, time-based and experiential expression, clients can externalize internal experiences, reorganize emotional material, and connect with deeper states of meaning, allowing for expanded understanding, regulation, and transformation.
Nutrition
There is no greater “high” than being healthy—feeling clear in the mind, steady in the body, and grounded in a life that feels meaningful and real. True well-being is supported by health and nutrition, nourishing the body as a foundation for recovery and renewal. When the body is properly cared for, it restores balance, energy, and resilience, creating a natural sense of presence and peace that no substance or escape can match. It’s the kind of clarity that comes from waking up fully to your life, connected to yourself and the world around you, and living in alignment with your own healing and wholeness.
Brain & Nervous System Health
Substance use and trauma directly disrupt the brain’s ability to regulate mood, stress, and behavior, often leading to patterns of reactivity, imbalance, and disconnection.
At Del Sol, we focus on restoring balance within the brain and nervous system through practices that engage both conscious and subconscious processes, helping rebuild internal stability from the ground up.
As communication between different parts of the brain improves, clients develop greater emotional regulation, resilience, and the capacity to respond to life with clarity rather than impulse — creating a foundation for lasting, sustainable recovery.
Community-Based Support
Connection is a core part of recovery.
At Del Sol, healing happens within a supportive community where clients are not isolated, but actively engaged with others who are on a similar path. Through group experiences, shared practices, and daily interaction, individuals begin to rebuild trust, develop healthier relationship patterns, and experience a genuine sense of belonging.
This environment creates accountability in a natural and sustainable way — not through pressure, but through connection. Clients learn how to communicate more openly, receive and offer support, and navigate challenges in real time with others. Over time, this shared experience helps reduce isolation, strengthen resilience, and reinforce the interpersonal skills needed for long-term recovery beyond the program.
